Hello everybody, I hope you’re having an amazing day today. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a special dish, lasagna. One of my favorites food recipes. This time, I am going to make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Lasagna is one of the most popular of recent trending foods in the world. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. Lasagna is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They’re nice and they look fantastic.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can have lasagna using 20 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Lasagna:
  1. Make ready # ground beef
  2. Take # pork (or sweet sausage)
  3. Make ready onion, minced
  4. Take garlic, crushed
  5. Take can crushed tomatoes
  6. Get can tomato sauce
  7. Get can tomato paste
  8. Take water, slightly less
  9. Take white sugar
  10. Make ready dried basil
  11. Prepare italian seasoning
  12. Get salt, divided
  13. Make ready black pepper
  14. Make ready fresh parsley, chopped (4 tsp dried)
  15. Get lasagna noodles
  16. Get ricotta cheese
  17. Make ready egg
  18. Take mozzarella cheese, shredded
  19. Prepare parmesan cheese, grated
  20. Prepare Crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Instructions to make Lasagna:
  1. In a Dutch oven, cook beef, pork, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water. Add the sugar, basil, Italian seasoning, 1 tsp salt, pepper and 2T parsley (2 tsp dried). Add the red pepper flakes if using. Simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the noodles for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water. In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, 2T parsley (2 tsp dried) and 1/2 tsp salt.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°.
  4. Spray a 13"x9" baking dish with cooking spray. Spread 1 1/2C of meat sauce on the bottom. Put a single layer of noodles over the meat sauce. Spread with 1/2 of the cheese mixture. Top with 1C of mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with some of the parmesan cheese. Repeat layers 2 times and the top will be the cheeses. Cover with sprayed foil to prevent the cheese sticking to it.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 25 minutes. Cool for 15-20 minutes before cutting into your lasagna.
  6. I had an 8oz roll of mozzarella cheese on hand, so I sliced it and put it on the cheese layers.
