Anya von Bremzen 's version, a green pozole, derives much of its flavor from tangy ingredients like tomatillos, cilantro and green chiles.

To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook green chicken pozole using 9 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Green Chicken Pozole:
  1. Take 4-5 chicken thighs skinless boneless
  2. Take 4 large tomatillos or 8 small one
  3. Get 3 jalapeños
  4. Take 1 whole onion
  5. Get 3 garlic cloves
  6. Take 6 cups chicken broth
  7. Get 1 TSP Salt
  8. Get 1 TBS Oregano
  9. Take 28 oz Hominy

  1. In a large part add the chicken, tomatillos, sliced jalapeños, whole onion cut in 4ths, 3 garlic cloves and add chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, partially cover and simmer on low for 40mins.
  3. Pull apart chicken and blend together the onions, garlic, tomatillos, and jalapeños. Return everything to pot.
  4. Add hominy and bring to a boil for 15 more minutes.

Pour broth and tomatillo puree over chicken. Add oregano and bring to a boil. Reduce to a gentle simmer and. Green Chili Stew with Chicken and White Beans. BBQ Chicken Tacos with Jalapeño Slaw.
